Compassionate Women

Are you a vendor? Are you interested in partnering with Compassionate Women?

Compassionate Women is a women’s enterprise started in June 2014 by two Global Peace Exchange members, Ljubica Nikolic, Melissa Magalhaes and a Global Scholar’s student Hannah Menzies. It is based in Tafi Atome, Ghana. They worked in conjunction with Compassionate Journeys, a local NGO, to help start this business. A women’s group in Tafi Atome works to produce hand-made products such as clothes, jewelry, and coasters to be sold on the Western market. Global Peace Exchange students go to Ghana over the summer and bring back the products to the US. 100% of the profit made from the products is sent back to the women’s group. Their products are sold at local Tallahassee venues.
